Mexico and South Africa are the countries with the largest number of species of succulent plants in the world. We talked to Barbara Goettsch (Mexico) from the IUCN Global Species Programme and Domitilla Raimondo (South Africa) from the South African National Biodiversity Institute about these interesting plants, the particular species from Mexico and South Africa and the challenges faced in both countries regarding conservation.
